Thank you to each and every band family for a phenomenal Summer Band Camp! It was great to see everyone at Friday night's performance! We can't wait to officially kick off the season with our Tuesday & Thursday rehearsals.

Each week you will receive a "Week at a Glance" newsletter to ensure that you are in-the-know for all things Marching Band. It is very important that you read through this entire bulletin so that you can see resources for items like: calendar, student eligibility forms/permission slips, payments, and more. 

Some important details to note:

• Make sure you are logged in to the BoosterHub app and check it daily during marching band season. Everyone should already be registered, but we can always send a new invitation or reset your password. BH (BoosterHub) is where you can see the ledger of your account for the season. This is your "one-stop-shop" for: fees owed/paid, calendar, and emergent communication. Access the site/app here for information: https://higleyinstrumental.boosterhub.com/home/.
• To keep communication lines open please check the BH calendar, BH group chats, and talk with your student before sending any questions out. The "Marching Band General" Chat will mostly be used by directors and the HIA Board, unless there is a pertinent item for every family in the ensemble. The "MB Parents" & "MB Students" Chat should be your default place to ask questions that are not in the Week at a Glance or on the calendar. These can be a good way to setup rideshares, announce study parties, receive reminders about season happenings, and receive travel updates.
• Please read through the fee/payment information below carefully. Some payments are made to the HIA (through BH) and others go to the HHS Bookstore (inTouch). Links will be provided below for ease of access. Students must be paid current on fees to be eligible to perform at competitions.

Upcoming Marching Band Dates:

• Tuesday (7/21): NO REHEARSAL (enjoy your fleeting moments of summer)
• Wednesday (7/22): Initially we had a performance at Freshman Orientation on the calendar. Due to a conflict in the scheduling of this event we will not be performing at the orientation this year. NO MARCHING BAND EVENTS!
• Thursday (7/23): First Day of School! Marching Band Rehearsal 5:30pm-9:00pm
• Thursday (7/23): Second Ancillary Payment Due ($70)
• Wednesday (7/29): Panera Bread Fundraiser 4pm-8pm (see flyer below)
• Saturday (8/8): Unform Fitting 8am-12pm / Senior Banner Photos 8am-10am / DCI Viewing 5:30pm-8:30pm (Specific details will be sent out when we get into August)

We were so impressed with each student at Band Camp and can't wait to see all that they accomplish this fall season!
